Junone
Junone is a lamp designed as both a functional light and a sculptural object. The form combines rounded organic shapes with tensions inspired by the aeronautical industry, creating an architectural presence and a sense of direction. Junone is made only with 3D printed nylon infused with glass and 3D printed steel infused with bronze. A hollow shell reduces the amount of material used without weakening the structure. The lamp holds a replaceable and dimmable 5 watt LED and is operated by a simple switch. Junone is a limited series of ten numbered pieces.
Junone Lamp by Alan Aronica has been recognized as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Junone Lamp earned the Iron A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2021. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
