Rostrus
Today visual effects for films are primarily created using computer technologies. Despite that, Rostrus was made as a real-life film set with an opportunity for 360 degree shooting. The team followed the traditional approach in order to avoid discordance between actors and digital environment. The model is 1:1000 scale and finely detailed, which allows to shoot from a distance of up to 2 centimeters to the surface.
Rostrus Film Set by Mark Melnikov has been recognized as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rostrus Film Set won the Bronze A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2021.
